Additive functions on permutations and the Ewens probability

Abstract:

The value distribution of additive functions defined with respect to the Ewens probability is examined. For the number of cycles with restricted lengths, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions under which the distribution functions on the symmetric group converge weakly to a limit distribution law. We apply a factorial moments method.
